These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the WM BRAVESOLDIER website (wmbravesoldier.co.za) and any purchase you make from us. By placing an order or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before ordering.
WM BRAVESOLDIER ("we", "us", "our") is a bespoke furniture studio based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. You can reach us at studio@wmbravesoldier.co.za or 083 256 2534.
Every piece sold on this website is handcrafted to order in our Johannesburg studio. Because each piece is individually made, small variations in wood grain, leather texture, upholstery and finish are natural, expected, and not considered faults. Product photography is representative; actual colour and texture may vary slightly due to natural material characteristics and screen display settings.
An order is placed when you complete checkout and full payment on our website. We will send you an order confirmation by email. A binding agreement of sale is formed once we confirm acceptance of your order — we reserve the right to decline or cancel an order (for example, due to stock, pricing, or production errors), in which case you will receive a full refund.
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise. Full payment is required at checkout to confirm your order — we do not require a deposit, and production only begins once payment has been received in full. Payments are processed securely through Peach Payments; we do not store your card details.
While we make every effort to ensure pricing accuracy, errors may occasionally occur. If we discover a pricing error after you have ordered, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Standard production lead time across our collection is 6–8 weeks from the date your order is confirmed and paid in full, as set out on our Lead Times page. Lead times are estimates, not guarantees, and may vary due to material availability or demand. We will keep you informed of your order's progress and notify you promptly of any delay.
Delivery is available within South Africa. Each piece is delivered for a flat-rate delivery fee, charged per item at checkout — we do not quote delivery individually based on location. Please ensure someone is available to receive delivery and that access to your space (doorways, staircases, lifts) can accommodate your piece — we recommend checking dimensions carefully before ordering. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
You may cancel your order, free of charge and for a full refund, within 24 hours of placing it, provided production has not yet commenced. If you cancel after 24 hours but before production has commenced, a cancellation fee of 10% of the order value will be deducted from your refund to cover administrative costs already incurred. Once production has begun, your piece is being made specifically to your order and cannot be cancelled, in accordance with Section 17(1) of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and Section 44(4) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, both of which exclude custom-made / special-order goods from standard cancellation and cooling-off rights. Once you report a cancellation, we will process your refund within 2–3 days. See our Returns & Refund Policy for what happens if your piece arrives damaged, defective, or not as ordered.
If you enquire about a specific design that we create especially for you, which is not part of our standard collection, and you proceed to order it, your order is treated as a custom design commission. If you wish to cancel a custom design order after manufacturing has already commenced, we will accommodate the cancellation; however, no refund will be issued, as materials and work have already been committed specifically to your piece. Delivery for custom design enquiries is quoted separately for each piece and does not form part of our standard flat-rate delivery fee.
Please see our full Returns & Refund Policy for details on faulty or damaged goods, warranty cover, and how to request a return.
